A hot summer’s afternoon, a grove of ripe fig trees, and a nearby cascade of wild jasmine.
There’s a rocky trail from our house to the next village, and on a hot day it’s a treat for the senses all the way. A dip in the path brings you to a shady grove of ripe fig trees, where you fall under the intoxicating spell of the whole tree – the figs, the bark, and the leaves – combining fruity, woody, and green notes, then balanced by the white flowers of a nearby wild jasmine.
If the best taste in the world is a ripe, sun-warmed fig picked straight off the tree, this must be one of the best fragrances; it’s the smell of being on holiday.

- A blend of 100% natural waxes – sustainably sourced organic soy, rapeseed and beeswax
- No palm oil used in our unique blend
- Our blend only uses crops grown or raised without synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or hormones and can be deemed organic by this definition

Candle Care
- The first time you light your candle, let it burn until all the wax on the surface has become liquid
- Trim the wick before each use
- When extinguishing the candle, ensure the wick is upright and centred for next time
Safety
- Do not burn for longer than 4 hours
- Never leave a lit candle unattended, or in a draught, and keep away from flammable materials
- Always leave at least 10cms between burning candles
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
- Place candle on a heat resistant surface

I’m obsessed with this candle. I’ve tried many different candle brands over the years and never found a candle that smells as good as the Fig Grove candle by la Montana. It is sweet and rich but not over bearing in the slightest and fills the room with such a wonderful scent. Whenever I have guests over they always comment on how amazing it smells. I’ve re ordered this candle multiple times and I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it!!
